After receiving Acupuncture it is recommended that you try to relax and not to do anything too strenuous, as your body absorbs and adjusts to the benefits of acupuncture. It is wise to avoid alcohol and stimulants such as coffee, as these will dehydrate you and could reduce the effectiveness of the treatment.
Some people often can feel a little light-headed after a treatment. This is normal as it is the result of the endorphins released during the treatment. Drink two or three extra glasses of room temperature water following the session to allow for any toxins to be flushed out, particularly after massage. If you do experience any dizziness we urge you to wait until this has passed before getting into your car.
We will advise you if there are any specific after care recommendations at the conclusion of your session, however if pain or problems persist please contact us and we can discuss if any further steps are needed.
